Bacta has announced the appointment of Nicola Lazenby as the new director of EAG, in preparation for the popular B2B event’s next edition at ExCeL London in January 2023.

The former head of marketing, operations and product at Mark Allen will assume management as EAG Ltd looks to expand into a multi-show exhibition company.

Nicola Lazenby“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Nicola to this integral role,” said Bacta CEO John White. “The EAG Show has been a highlight of the industry for many years, and we expect it to go from strength-to-strength following the return of the in-person event this year.”

“With her extensive experience, Nicola can take the EAG show to new levels.”

During her tenure at Mark Allen, Lazenby oversaw the commercial success of all group events with full responsibility for marketing and operations, as well as oversight responsibility for content and sales functions as part of the Community Care Group.

Leveraging a career in the events industry that spans more than 20 years, Lazenby’s new role will see her absorb management of the 2023 EAG, before beginning work next year on both the 2024 iteration of the event, and further company growth.

“Nicola joins the EAG Show at a pivotal time, as we gear-up for EAG 2023 and plan for EAG 2024,” said show chair Martin Burlin. “As part of her remit, Nicola will seek to move EAG Ltd to a multi-exhibition model as we return to in-person events.”

As the leisure industry’s leading coin-operated amusements show, EAG 2023 is expected to see 5,000 key buyers representing some of the world’s leading theme parks, tourist attractions, amusement arcades and FECs make their way to ExCeL, giving exhibitors the opportunity to showcase the latest products, developments and innovations in the industry.

“I am delighted to be joining John and Martin at such an important time for EAG Ltd,” said Lazenby. “I look forward to working with colleagues and professionals from across the sector to ensure a bright future for the EAG Show, and am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.”

Stand bookings for EAG 2023 are now being accepted from exhibitors across the leisure sector.
