Showtime Amusements in Heacham has reopened its doors, just two weeks after the amusement arcade was purchased by nearby Golden Sands Amusements in Hunstanton.

Now rebranded Harvey’s Showtime by new owners the Harvey family, the King’s Lynn arcade unveiled a brand new £500 adult gaming area, kids’ motorbikes, “and much more.”

“Harvey’s Showtime is now open,” said a spokesperson on 19 March. “Come down and have a look.”

“The cafe is also open too.”

As well as the AGC area and ride-on motorbikes, the venue is now host to a range of new machines, with Harvey’s taking to social media on 12 March in order to recruit new part-time staff to oversee the expanded arcade floor.

Harvey’s Showtime will remain open for weekends only for the foreseeable future, as the new owners confirmed there was still “more work to do.”

The site was acquired by the Harveys from the Parkin family earlier this year, with Leslie Parkin stating on 7 March “the Harveys are now the new owners and who are very close friends of ours and I can assure you that you will all be in good hands.”

“All your tickets will be honoured by them and we hope you continue to enjoy the arcade.”
