Bacta Self-Exclusion Services (BSESL) has successfully acquired accreditation for the Government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme following an extensive audit.
The approval, which gives businesses protection against a wide variety of the most common cyberattacks, enables BSESL display the Certificate of Assurance to prove it meets the required standards in five main areas: firewalls; cyber secure configuration; user access control; malware protection; security update management.
“We are thrilled to have gained Cyber Essentials certification, which gives us and our customers peace of mind that their data is as safe as possible from cyber attack,” said Russell Edge, Bacta Membership SR and Compliance Manager.
“This certification demonstrates BSESL’s continued commitment to cyber security and data protection,” noted Bacta CEO John White. “Nothing is more important than protecting self-excluders’ data and this accreditation puts us first in class for data security. Only 0.5 percent of the UKs SMEs have achieved this award which is something we take as a powerful endorsement of the work we do to deliver an unrivalled service to our customers.”
