Working with GPT in a consulting role, Craig Morgan discusses some of company’s focuses for the first half of this year, including the recent release of its new pool table solution.
Coinslot: You’ve teamed up as a consultant for GPT on the business development side of things. How do you see your role developing and what drew you to the cashless sector?
Craig Morgan: It was the really enthusiastic, entrepreneurial team of people at GPT that first attracted me to working with them. We met up and shared the same views on the opportunities within the sector for this technology to work. My ongoing role with GPT is to help get the technology placed in the market with the major pub companies and leisure retailers across the multiple sectors that operate in the UK.
CS: Looking at sales and development, where are your sector or industry borders for the GPT cashless solution? And is the product versatile to reach beyond the traditional core arcade, pub and bingo market?
CM: The range of products Game Payment can be used on covers all classes of amusement products: gaming machines (both analogue and digital), grabber machines, virtual reality machines, pool tables, and juke boxes.
We are also actively engaged in discussions with potential customers about the ability to use the app on their wider leisure portfolios and even completely different market sectors.
We are the only app developers in this sector that can do this and make it bespoke for our clients. You can expect to see us continuing to announce exciting product developments that will extend GPT’s reach.
CS: You have a number of key platforms coming up at the ExCel, can you give us an idea of how you’d like to see the first half of the year pan out for GPT and what innovations should we be anticipating?
CM: GPT began their delivery of the pool table solution in January, with many more to follow in the coming months. The latest enhancements to this solution include the ability to meter the cashless transactions separately from coins, and to automate the button-press on pool tables.
I will be supporting the GPT team at EAG International on stand 190 where attendees will see the pool table solution, as well as Game Payment working on fruit machines from half a dozen manufacturers, and an NSM Curve jukebox.
We have had very positive support from the UK-based gaming industry. They and we expect the use of Game Payment to continue to rise with many new developments for 2022. These include a fresh new app to make the player experience even better and provide retailers with the options to brand the appearance of the app.
