Blackpool Pleasure Beach has extended its popular ride walk experience, giving thrillseekers the opportunity to explore more of its iconic roller coaster than ever before with “Walk The Big One XL.”
Participants will still scale the ride’s lifthill, but will also be guided on a 420-step climb to the top of the ride, as well as a visit to the maintenance area and several new viewpoints looking over the Fylde coast.
“The original Walk The Big One and Walk The Woodie events have been hugely successful so we wanted to develop a new experience to build on these and offer something completely new,” said director of operations Andy Hygate.
“Walk The Big One XL will take our guests to parts of the ride they will never have been to before, and experience unique views of the ride and surrounding areas. Having tried the walk myself, I can definitely say that it’s something that all fans of Blackpool Pleasure Beach will love to take part in.”
Those taking part will be led around the ride by the park‘s ride operations team, with the experience taking 90 minutes from start to finish.
The first Walk The Big One XL will take place on 29 April, with further dates on 6 May and 17 June.
