A new arcade bar has opened in Northampton, offering locals something “new, exciting, and genuinely different,” in a former Revolution Bar on Bridge Street.

Playhouse opened its doors for the first time on the weekend of 20 November, and features a full arcade, pizza-by-the-metre, vintage photo booths and graffiti- covered bar.

“Myself and the team are extremely excited to bring this brilliant new competitive socialising concept to Northampton,” said general manager Leslie Walker.

“We’re incredibly proud of the investment that has gone into transforming the venue and I’m certain that when people see what we have created, they’re going to love it.”

“We can’t wait to serve food and drinks and see everyone enjoy Playhouse and have a brilliant time – let the games begin!”

Alongside team player attractions such as air hockey and table football, the arcade features a number of competitive titles such as basketball machines and Gopher Golf, with Northants live reporting Playhouse is “exactly what Northampton needs.”

“Finally, something new, exciting, and genuinely different that appeals to young adults in a way that won’t just blend into the pubs around it. It’s fun, quirky, and breathes an awful lot of personality and variety into the town.”
