2021 has been a bit of a rhapsody for NSM with some epic trading before, during and after ACOS. Keen to keep the momentum going, Alex Kirby is hoping for restraint when it comes to the option of further restrictions, especially the market for newer more versatile jukeboxes growing stronger.

Coinslot: A year that opened in lockdown, staggered through to reopening, via a supply chain crisis and ending with Omicron: how will you look back on 2021?

Alex Kirby: It’s been an interesting year to say the least, although we have some very interesting challenges, we have also experienced some amazing business and commitments from operators resulting in us selling out of all stock at the ACOS Show in October.

Coinslot: We’ve had five months since re-opening, what were your highlights of the year?

Alex Kirby: I would have to say lifting of lockdown/restrictions and of course the ACOS show – 2021 has been a major challenge to the way our businesses operate.

Coinslot: How have you risen to this challenge and what new developments are you introducing to rebuild and strengthen your operation?

Alex Kirby: Apart from the occasional day working from home, it’s business as usual. All of us here at NSM have always put customer service at the heart of our day to day business which is the backbone of our success.

During the challenging times of lockdown we were here for our customers and did our very best to support them through the challenging times.

We suspect this is why customers have so much confidence in purchasing NSM jukeboxes and the main reason our sales have been so good this year.

Coinslot: What are you looking or hoping for in 2022 and what’s on your New Year’s wish list?

Alex Kirby: We believe next year will start with a bang starting at the EAG, one thing that has come apparent is operators are now replacing older jukeboxes for newer more reliable equipment to streamline their business reducing expensive service calls.

We hope that no more restrictions are enforced, things get back to a more normal level and we carry on with the positive momentum from 2021.
