Chongie Entertainment is extending its reach northward beyond Greater London, with the rapidly-expanding Little Vegas-operator receiving planning approval this week for a new AGC in Peterborough.

The Broadway site, formerly a Salvation Army charity shop, will offer slot machine games and bingo, and joins the company’s recently-approved locations in Wembley, Reading, Wood Green and Crawley.

“[The AGC] will create more linked trips which will benefit surrounding uses and the wider economy,” stated Chongie in its submission documents, adding the site will also “broaden the range of facilities and strengthen the offer of Peterborough’s City Centre, thereby enhancing its vitality and viability.”

The new AGC will be open from 8am until midnight Monday to Sunday, and will create eight new jobs in the area.

Commenting on the application, a representative for the police told Peterborough City Council’s planning committee “there is no evidence that these premises contribute to, or cause any issues.”

“I note the relevant management practices and have no further comment or objection and support the application.”

Chongie Entertainment was licensed by the Gambling Commission in February of this year, with its website stating “there will be over 20 Little Vegas sites open in the next 24 months.”
