Carousel Amusements on Barry Island has significantly expanded its entertainment offering through the acquisition of neighbouring premises Dimes Amusements.
The south Wales seafront arcade confirmed the deal via social media, encouraging families to visit its newly-extended arcade floor during half term.
“Sorry we have been quiet lately but we have been working on something that hopefully excites you as much as it did us,” said a spokesperson on Facebook.
“We are proud to announce that we are now the proud owners of Dimes Amusements just right next door to Carousel, we hope to see you all in there, and our other sites, soon.”
The Dimes premises is located to the southwest of Carousel on Paget Road, just across from Barry Island Adventure Park. and was acquired through a private sale.
Carousel, which also operates nearby Caesars Palace on the same street, announced the purchase on 24 October, just in time for the Welsh half term holiday, with the spokesperson adding “we hope you all have a great half term, can’t wait to see old and new faces.”
The move comes after Carousel enhanced its machine offer in August with a new closed loop Aladdin pusher, with the arcade telling customers: “we hope you all come down to enjoy it as much as our managers have this morning.”
