Hollywood Bowl is to open its latest venue in Resorts World Birmingham, after signing a 15-year lease to occupy a 26,000 sq ft of the retail and leisure complex.

The new site will feature 17 lanes, a bar, diner and arcade area, with work set to be complete by December in order to capitalise on Christmas holiday trade. “Welcoming Hollywood Bowl to Resorts World forms part of our strategy to further strengthen our leisure offer,” said Resorts World operations director Jason Kirsch. “Resorts World sits within the UK’s premier destination for exhibitions and events and this will add to the attraction and support the NEC Group’s proposed masterplan.”

“To be home to the market leading bowling operator is a major component in providing our visitors with a wide ranging and first class entertainment experience. We are thrilled that Hollywood Bowl is joining us at Resorts World.”

Resorts World, which opened in 2015, already features bars, restaurants, a cinema, hotel and casino alongside its outlet shopping offering, with the hospitality and leisure elements under the operation of the Genting Group.

“Genting UK has understood the change in consumer demands for shopping centres to become a destination for both day and night time by providing a broad range of entertainment,” said head of leisure at Genting’s managing agent Colliers.
