Ravaged by the impact of Covid-19, the hospitality sector is bouncing back in a nationwide celebration taking place on 18 September. National Hospitality Day has been launched to maintain the momentum of staycation for this year and beyond
Hospitality businesses across the sector are being invited to register their interest to participate in the first National Hospitality Day which is being held on 18 September. The hospitality industry’s main trade associations, professional bodies and charities are calling on the nation to support the beleaguered sector by visiting their favourite venue and joining in the nationwide celebration.
According to the organisers National Hospitality Day is an opportunity to showcase all that’s great about UK hospitality and represents a collective shout-out for the places we’ve all missed as well as a financial shot in the arm for a sector that’s been hit hardest by Covid.
The announcement explains: “Operators and suppliers are being invited to do what they do best which is to delight customers and guests by laying on exciting activities, offers and events. Activities can be as ambitious or as modest as operators wish. All monies generated by National Hospitality Day will be divided between four participating charities: the Drinks Trust, Hospitality Action, the Licensed Trade Charity and Springboard. Together, they offer lifelines to the people and businesses behind UK hospitality.”
Hospitality businesses looking to participate in National Hospitality Day can register their interest at www.nationalhospitalityday.org.uk or by contacting Jeremy Gibson at email@example.com.
