Gutterball is to open a new bowling alley and entertainment venue in Glasgow’s newly revamped St Enoch Centre, the first new location after its inaugural South Shields site.

The operator, a Lane7 family entertainment brand, has signed a 20-year lease on the city centre unit, joining VUE Cinema and Boom Battle Bar as anchor leisure tenants.

“These offers will enhance both day and night time trade and will boost St. Enoch Centre as a truly mixed-use scheme,” said Matt Elgey, spokesperson for St Enoch asset manager Sovereign Centros.

“With the opening of more restaurants over the remainder of this year, the centre will have completely transformed and will provide a strong platform for future growth.”

The 28,000 sq ft venue, set to open in August, will feature a number of family-friendly bowling lanes alongside pool tables, Guttergolf, karaoke room, baseball nets and an arcade.

The new site comes almost two years after Lane7 opened its first Gutterball venue in North Shields, converting the former Star Bowl on Rotary Way into a 16-lane entertainment complex.

Alongside a diner featuring American classics such as burgers and hotdogs, both venues also offer various “Baller” packages, giving young guests free reign across all activities throughout their session.
