A new hi-tech bingo club has launched in Shoreditch, offering winners a selection of prizes such as bikes, camera drones, and European holidays.

Hijingo, located on Worship Street, is the latest venue from Hackney local and Rebel Bingo creator James Gordon, and marks the first step in the brand’s strategy to expand internationally.

“Once I had raised the $20m I needed to take the brand globally, I knew there was only one place to open the first venue: right back at where it all started in Hackney,” Gordon told the Hackney Gazette. “Also, my mum still lives down the road.”

“This is not a pop-up event, it’s a club that people want to come back to again and again. It’s like the Las Vegas Strip for social entertainment, right here in Hackney.”

Hijingo is a collaboration between Gordon and Social Entertainment Ventures founder Adam Breeden, whose previous successes include All Star Lanes, Bounce Ping Pong, Flight Club, and Puttshack.

The new tech-heavy bingo club will feature giant TV screens, and a computer system that identifies players and checks their cards after they win.

Commenting on the brand, Gordon stated Hijingo is “somewhere you can get the consistency and class of service people want, as well as a fun night at the bingo.”
