Happidrome Arcade has unveiled the newly-refurbished and relocated Hamilton’s Ice Cream Parlour, featuring ice cream, cookies, Bubble Waffles, and its famous hot, fresh doughnuts.

Following the closure of the previous Hamilton’s unit last year, the parlour was re-sited to the left of the Southend arcade, before undergoing six months of fitout and decoration.

“Well, if Carlsberg made Ice Cream Parlours they would not be as good as this,” said owner Martin Richardson via social media. “Welcome to Hamilton’s New Ice Cream Parlour.”

“It’s been a hard six months, but I like it. Now to learn how it all works. All new flavours of ice cream, cookies, bubble waffles, made fresh.”

As well as offering visitors a wider selection of ice cream flavour combinations, the new site features brand new machinery and fittings, as well as striking design elements in the form of neon signs, metro tiles and chrome detailing.

The new parlour is open from 10am till 10pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and from 11am till 9pm during the week, and can be found within the Happidrome arcade building.

“Step into our clean parlour, taste some delicious ice cream and spread the word!”

And that word is spreading fast with Richardson now looking for additional staff. “Our brand new parlour has been busy, so need more staff,” he posted this week.
