Dreamland opened eight “specially-selected” amusement rides last Saturday as part of its Summer Social season, with the popular park looking to reopen in Covid-safe stages.
As well as enjoying “the ultimate open– air pub experience,” guests to the Margate venue will be able to ride a range of vintage family favourites, as well as one newly refurbished attraction.
“Joining established classics such as the Waltzer, Cyclone Twist and Gallopers will be a thrilling new attraction – The Ghost Train,” said a spokesperson. “Originally built in the 1960s this famous ride has been lovingly restored.”
“Double Decker and Austin Cars will be ready for younger riders, while all the family can enjoy Rock The Boat and our brand-new Giant Dodgem Track with a whopping 20 superfast cars. Rides for this summer will be available to enjoy on a pay-per-ride basis with prices starting from as little as £2.”
Though Dreamland has been forced to amend its free entry system, noting “in line with the NHS’s Track and Trace System, all visitors to the amusement park must be recorded,” once inside visitors can enjoy “the best entertainment, street food and craft beers, the summer season has to offer with friends and family.”
