M&D’s Theme Park has announced a range of new rides for 2021, including a Fast and Furious-themed Miami and the Twister, as well as the Pony Express and Tea-Cups.
The new installations come alongside major improvements to F&B offerings, as the Strathclyde park witnesses a surge in visitation following prolonged closure.
“We are all thrilled to be welcoming visitors back to the theme park,” said director Jensen Taylor Connelly. “This year we have the biggest line up of new rides and attractions that we’ve ever had.”
“We have spent the past few months refurbishing our Bistro at the Loch and creating a Beer Garden, doing everything we possibly can to ensure families have a great day out.”
With further additions such as 8m high climbing walls and a 200ft long zip slide, the park now boasts over 40 rides and attractions, including favourites the Rock Star Waltzers and the House of Fun.
In addition, M&D’s has expanded its opening times from 10.30am until 6.00pm, in order to accommodate an increase in visitors and social distancing guidelines.
“We’ve also seen an upturn in people booking our onsite hotel for staycations,” added Connelly. “It’s just great to see people beginning to be able to enjoy themselves again.”
