Lane7 is to open its first venue in Glasgow, replacing Treetop Adventure Golf in the city’s St Enoch Centre after the mini-golf operator withdrew its interest in the vacant unit.
The venue, one of seven new Lane7 sites set to open within the next year, will offer ten-pin bowling, ping pong, mini golf and karaoke into the early hours.
“[Lane7] has been granted extended opening hours, including until 2am on Friday and Saturday, by Glasgow City Council,” reported Glasgow Live. “Treetop Adventure Golf had been lined up to takeover the vacant unit, but that interest “has unfortunately fallen away.””
“When the St Enoch Trustee Company secured permission for the golf facility, the permitted opening hours were from 8am until midnight, seven days a week. But a second application has now been approved by the council, which allows the unit to be open until 1am on Thursday and 2am on Friday and Saturday.”
The approval comes as The St Enoch Centre prepares to expand its leisure offering with Boom Battle Bar this year, as well as reopening its Vue cinema this month.
Though no set date for opening has been given for the Lane7 venue, the company is currently preparing to open its Edinburgh site this summer, before turning its attention to locations in Dublin, Nottingham, Belfast, Cardiff and York.
