Lincoln’s newest arcade, The Arcade Warehouse, has confirmed it is to open its doors for the first time on 21 May, featuring over 100 machines across 6,097 sq ft of floorspace.
The Dixon Street venue will also house a cafe and bar, and follows the success of directors Caton Airey and Dan Rees’ Scunthorpe venture, which opened in 2020.
“We’re really excited for the opening now after a very busy time getting the venue ready,” said Airey. “We’ve had absolutely loads of pre-bookings already, we’re so keen to just get open now.”
“If people are hoping to come down in the first few days, we advise booking a slot as soon as possible as they are beginning to fill up.”
The arcade, located in the former Palmers bathroom and kitchen warehouse, will create ten new jobs, and offer entertainment “that people of all ages can enjoy.”
Play sessions will be available from 12 noon to 8pm, Monday to Thursday, and from 12 noon to 10pm from Friday to Sunday.
As well as classic cabinets, The Arcade Warehouse will also feature video game consoles such as Xbox and PlayStation, Mega Drive, and SNES, alongside a five-person Scalextric.
