Bowling operator Lane7 has launched a brand new outdoor festival-style street food, drinks and entertainment venue to its North Shields location.
Burn It Up features five distinct areas across 1.6 acres of outdoor space, with 1000 customers able to enjoy fairground rides, live music, comedy nights, and bingo.
“With outdoor socialising becoming the new norm in hospitality, we want to inject some much-needed entertainment back into the calendar,” said Lane7 owner Tim Wilks.
“Crucially, this will be done in a safe and secure way in the lead up to summer and beyond. We’ve worked very closely and positively with all parties to make sure we deliver a safe, friendly environment for people to enjoy themselves in what is a large outdoor space.”
“We’re encouraging everyone to book ahead and it’s heartening to see those bookings coming in thick and fast.”
Burn It Up is divided into The Pavilion, The Picture Yard, The Village Hall, Gin Garden and Feastery Street, and opened for the first time on 12 April.
The Pavilion will host the majority of the site’s entertainment, with the Picture Yard showing cult films alongside the Euros, Wimbledon and the Olympics.
The site will be open from 3pm “till late” Monday to Thursday, and from 9am till late from Friday to Sunday
