Blackpool’s Fun Zone Family Entertainment Centre is preparing to open its doors for the first time this May, offering an arcade, play area and inflatable adventure park all under one roof.

The 20,000 sq ft venue, previously known as Krazy Kingdom, features more than 50 brand new arcade machines, a 12ft near-vertical slide, and climbing complex.

“We’re unique in that we have the arcade, play area and inflatable adventure park all under one roof, meaning you don’t have to leave,” said owner Martin Livesey. “The nearest children’s centres to us only have climbing frames to offer, whereas we wanted to do so much more.”

“We actually ended up with around 20 more arcade machines than we thought when the designer told us we could fit in more – so we did!”

Livesey and his wife Naomi purchased the site on Waterloo Road last year, using the subsequent lockdowns to completely refurbish the interior.

When regulations allow the venue to open next month, play sessions will be limited to 40 children every two hours, with a break for cleaning between each session.

“Regular walk-ins are welcome but you may be refused entry as we may have reached capacity, and will be offered the next available session,” added Livesey.
