A furloughed Admiral Amusements employee who took to social media to showcase her Staffordshire Terrier’s painted nails has seen views for her videos top three million.
Chelsea McKinnon, who was placed on leave by the Gourock arcade last year, regularly gives Breeze peticures on video platform TikTok, with viewers from around the world now tuning in.
“I downloaded TikTok at the start of lockdown, but didn’t start posting videos of Breeze until December,” McKinnon told the Greenock Telegraph. “I’ve always painted her nails as a bit of fun and because she’s so calm and actually enjoys being pampered.”
“So I thought I would start recording it. One video alone had 3.7 million people watching – it’s absolutely crazy how it has taken off.”
The videos feature Chelsea delicately painting the three-year old Staffy’s nails, and also include Breeze modelling a selection of outfits.
“I didn’t start it for anything other than to keep me entertained during the lockdown, but the way people have reacted is amazing.”
“I’ve had people sending Breeze gifts from an Amazon wishlist and also had someone offer to draw a portrait of her for free. It’s crazy to think people around the world are enjoying my videos, but I’m glad they’re making people smile.”
