Playnation has confirmed a five year extension to its machine supply deal with motorway services operator Moto, building on the success of an existing 12-year partnership.

Playnation has confirmed an extension of its partnership with motorway services operator Moto, providing the company with a range of gaming machines across its entire UK roadside estate until 2025.

The Inspired Entertainment subsidiary has supplied equipment for Moto, the country’s largest motorway services brand, since 2008, with the latest deal providing Playnation with an opportunity to perform “a full product refresh.”

“Moto is the largest service station network in the country,” said Playnation managing director Peter Davies. “We will continue to build on our collaborative and strategic relationship that will bring best-in-class hardware, platform, content and innovation to the UK motorway service infrastructure.”

Following a similar contract extension in 2015, which saw Playnation add 80 server based games machines – including its newly released Storm B3 terminals – to existing facilities in Moto locations across the country, this second extension will see Playnation upgrade the machine and systems suite further.

“Playnation has a longstanding relationship with Moto, providing customers with some of the best adult gaming machines across the motorway service infrastructure,” said a statement from Playnation’s parent company Inspired.

“Given the success of this partnership and the proven popularity of their products, Moto is pleased to extend this relationship for a further five years. Playnation will embark upon a full product refresh to upgrade their existing gaming offering and systems to enhance the customer experience.”

Moto is owned by Universities Superannuation Scheme in partnership with CVC Capital Partners, and counts more than 60 locations across the UK, which employ 5,000 staff.

“Moto are delighted to extend our current partnership with Playnation,” added Nick Tatum, Moto Hospitality’s chief customer officer. “Playnation offers a first class product and service model and we look forward to providing our customers with leading products and game content across our motorway locations.”
