After several weeks of meticulous planning, UDC has unveiled its new showroom facility in west London’s Park Royal, where over 60 brand new products await the keen eyes of operators looking to get prepared for the industry’s big comeback next year.
UDC has announced that its new showroom facility at the distributor’s Park Royal London premises is now complete.
The venue showcases over 60 brand new machines including redemption games, video games, prize machines, cranes, air hockey and more, available for customers to come and see in person.
“We believe that nothing can replace the in-person experience of being able to touch and play the games, seeing them in action. There’s a million miles between a cheap machine and a quality game that can’t easily be communicated online,” explained UDC sales director Jonathan Lauder. “We’ve been planning to allow customers to be able to see games in person, in a Covid safe environment ever since it became clear that shows would be problematic as a method of doing business.”
Lauder added that UDC has listened to operators who have told the London-based company that they’d be happy to visit, if and when allowed, to experience what UDC has to offer. “There’s a pent-up demand and a massive expectation for the 2021 season to be big and make up for a year with less than stellar income,” he continued. “With the Covid vaccine now available it’s more than likely that demand will be realised and now is the time to start preparing for Easter and summer 2021.”
Mark Horwood, UDC managing director, has been “delighted” with the new products that are coming through from UDC’s supply chain, but he also believes there’s some excellent games in the showroom that didn’t get a fair crack of the whip this year.
“Many of our 2020 games performed well for those who operated them this year but missed out on being the big hits they deserved to be,” he said, inviting operators – who would normally only get a 10 minute tour at a show – to “come and visit UDC for a morning or afternoon and be the centre of attention with everything you need under one roof”.
Interested parties are advised to contact UDC by telephone or email firstname.lastname@example.org to book their visit on the calendar.
