Independent gaming operator Trident Machines has announced the appointment of former Rank Group executive Craig Taylor, tasked with accelerating the firm’s recent growth.
Taylor, who has also previously held roles at Greene King and Gala Bingo, will oversee the instigation of an “ambitious strategy” for expansion as the UK economy recovers. “I’ve been very impressed by the team at Trident,” said Taylor. “We have a clear and ambitious growth plan and I’m really excited to be part of it.”
“This has been the most difficult of years for our industry so it’s really encouraging to join a team looking to achieve something special in 2021 so we can all forget this year!”
The news comes after Trident recently announced strong financial results, a major acquisition and an expansion of its digital product portfolio.
The company was formed last year, after directors Andrew and Jonathan Powell purchased the share capital of Select Gaming and GSquared parent company P&G Leisure (Holdings) Ltd before rebranding Select as Trident Machines in November.
“We’re delighted with this appointment,” added Trident MD Andrew Powell. “Craig joins us at a critical time in our development.”
“We have built a stable foundation for the business to enable us to take advantage of every opportunity that presents itself in the coming years and we are very confident that Craig will play a big role in the company’s future.”
