Cullen’s Amusements put the heroes of 2020 centre stage this month, holding a competition to honour those who have “helped others in time of need.”

The travelling funfair offered a range of prizes to reward those who had gone the extra mile during the Coronavirus crisis, including VIP experiences and meal vouchers.

“We all know 2020 hasn’t been up there as one of our best years, but in the middle of this some people shined and helped others in time of need,” said a spokesperson for the fair. “We want to hear about them in our very special competition with a fantastic prize.”

“Was it someone in your community who went above and beyond? The local shopkeeper who delivered to the elderly? An entertainer who brightened up your lockdown days online? A healthcare worker or any of our brilliant key workers who you think deserves this special treat?”

The winners of the competition will be awarded with a VIP night at the fair for five people, a meal voucher for either the Walled City Brewery or the Stables Inn, and a voucher for local salon Atelier Hair.

In addition to the prize package, the fair will also award a number of runner up VIP passes for two.
