Though families have not necessarily been racing back into amusement centres to make up for lost time, visitor numbers at venues across the country are growing as customer confidence returns.

“We love this photo of little Tommie on our gallopers” said Family Amusements in Mablethorpe via social media, commenting on an image that captures the enduring appeal of the arcade.

Family Amusements Mablethorpe reopened its doors on 4 July, with help from Steel Fabrications UK Ltd, Lincs Signs, Instance Automatics, and Brent Clark Glaziers to make the site safe.

“We have done our utmost to be prepared, keeping both our team and guests as safe as possible,” said the amusement centre.

“We would like to thank you all for the huge effort you’ve all put in to adhere to social distancing measures we have in place, we have received some great feedback.”
