Majestic, one of the industry’s leading independent bingo brands, is responding to the challenges presented by Covid-19 with what Managing Director Mark Jepp is describing as ‘a mixture of vision, investment, creativity and hard work.’

 

August, traditionally a low-key month for the bingo sector, has been anything but that for Majestic which followed-up its starring role in the acclaimed Full House 60-minute television documentary with the official launch of majesticbingo.com – its new and striking online presence, consistent week-on-week increases in admissions topped off by a £50,000 National Game jackpot winner at its club in Bishop Auckland.

“It’s not been what you might describe as an ‘average August’ that’s for sure,” confirmed Mark Jepp. “Every week and in fact every day presents fresh challenges, but I’m delighted to say that the team continues to raise the bar in terms of delivering a fantastic customer experience which is being recognised with a steady growth in admissions following lockdown. “Full House has been a major talking point not just with the customers and staff at Tonypandy where it was filmed but with colleagues, competitors and suppliers from the bingo industry.

“In terms of investment, I am delighted that we have transformed our online presence which has been the equivalent of being directly promoted from League 1 into the Premier League. Following its relaunch, August has seen the biggest ever level of deposits and the biggest ever spike in traffic both of which have taken place when the retail business has been open and trading.”
