A new thrill-ride has opened at Gulliver’s Valley theme park in Rotherham, which its owners hope will round out the attraction’s appeal to families with older children.
The “Gyrosaur” ride takes passengers on a complete inversion and spins them 360 degrees, and currently permits eight riders at a time (as per social distancing guidelines).
“We are so excited to have our new Gyrosaur ride in place here at Rother Valley,” remarked the park’s managing director Julie Dalton. “It’s a bigger ride for those with older children who are looking for a thrill and so far, the feedback has been fantastic.”
Since re-opening in July, the family-run Gulliver’s Valley has had a number of sold-out days, as it adapts to the new industry standard of mandating visitors to reserve their spaces ahead of time due to markedly reduced capacity.
To that end, Dalton used the launch of the new ride to that the public for their support throughout the Covid-19 crisis.
“We are a family business who has put absolutely everything into this new resort, so to have the backing of our customers, who are really at the heart of everything we do, has been so important to us,” she said.
