The CEO of Luxury Leisure Talarius has predicted arcade operators “will see the recovery that we require” as AGCs across the country begin to re-open their doors.

Tom Allison made the bullish projection as Admiral prepared the high street return of its 211 English venues on 4 July, with Scottish and Welsh venues set to follow when rules allow.

Reinforcing his message delivered in Coinslot a fortnight ago, Allison told Intergame this week: “As a business – and indeed an industry – we have an obligation now to show strength and get our high streets moving again alongside others in the retail and leisure space.”

He added: “I am confident that we will see the recovery that we require in the coming weeks and unlike other big name retailers, holding our nerve is key to building confidence with our customers and as an employer.”

Speaking ahead of the reopening, Allison also looked forward to showing returning customers “how we have created a safe environment in which to play as part of the “new normal.”

“Equally, bringing our staff back to work, most of whom have been furloughed as part of the Job Retention Scheme, will really be welcome.”
