A piece of British cultural history is going on sale this week as Island Leisure Amusement Arcade has been placed on the market.

The famed ‘Nessa’s Slots’, the workplace of leading character Nessa in the hit TV comedy Gavin and Stacey, is being advertised for sale in Coinslot.

The ‘world famous FEC’ – a sales pitch that would make an honest man out of even an estate agent – is ‘reluctantly’ available due to ill health.

The 90-square metre redemption heaven, available for offers in the region of £400,000, is arguably Barry Island’s most iconic attraction at the moment drawing hundreds of Gavin and Stacey fans to the seaside town every year, and forming part of the regular Britmovie tours (pictured) that operate in the resort. The operation has 23 years remaining on a 25- year lease.
