Ride manufacturer Zamperla has introduced a new collaborative software system to allow its mechanical supervisors to oversee ride construction despite social distancing measures.
The Italian company has begun sharing documents, video, audio and remote AR guidance with customers in order to overcome travel and contact restrictions and meet construction deadlines.
“We are figuring out the new normal one step at a time while the world continues to change rapidly day-by-day, adapting and navigating the best we can, staying together and supporting each other,” said a statement from the firm.
“In this situation, our creative and innovative attitude and mindset stand out, finding new solutions and smart collaborations thanks to the effort of each one of our employees.”
The collaborative communication initiative will be broadcast direct from Zamperla’s Altavilla headquarters, with technical specialists on hand to lead the building of rides and roller coasters remotely.
