Butlin’s and Haven have both extended the period they expect to remain closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, which will now include the week of the May half term.
Both park operators had originally announced a potential 14 May reopening, however Haven will now keep its 37 parks closed until 31 May, with Butlin’s three sites shut until 7 June.
“Like you, we are disappointed for our guests who were looking to holiday with us, especially over May half term, and to our valued owners’ community,” said a spokesperson for Haven.
“We will be looking forward to welcoming you back to our parks later this year and into 2021.” “We are contacting everyone who has a break booked during this period this week, offering them several options as we need to change their booking.”
A representative for Butlin’s added “these are unprecedented times for everyone. We’ll get through this and back to providing great breaks for you all when the time is right.”
“In the meantime, we want to give you as much reassurance as possible. Our wonderful Contact Centre team are on hand ready to help replan your break. They have the necessary equipment and support to be able to work safely from home and have already processed thousands of requests.”
