Bourne Leisure, the parent company of Warner Leisure Hotels, Haven and Butlin’s, has confirmed its venues will remain closed until 14 May, one month later than originally planned.
The company had previously announced its hotel and holiday park estate would reopen on 17 April, however “significant” disruption prompted an extension of the shutdown period.
“The scale of what we are dealing with is significant and it will mean it may take a little longer than usual,” said a spokesperson for Bourne.
“We would like to thank our guests for their patience whilst we work through this as quickly as we can.”
“We want to reassure you we are closely monitoring the situation and following government guidance.”
Guests who have already made bookings with Haven and Butlin’s are being contacted in date order, with options to manage either a refund or rescheduled holiday.
Those booked to stay at Warner venues prior to 19 March are offered either rescheduling with a £100 per room voucher to spend at their hotel, or a full refund.
“We are working hard to reschedule your entertainment to later in the year.”
“This may take us a number of weeks due to the volume of guests impacted by this situation.”
