Licensing and HR specialist Debbie Hough Bollard has produced a series of video guides designed to help operators navigate the government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.
The founder of licensing consultancy Hough and Bollard has made the videos available via social media, in a bid to simplify the process of qualifying for government support.
“I have just finished recording another video to provide an update on the details of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme,” said Hough Bollard via facebook. “I’m happy to answer any questions if you contact me directly.”
The videos, posted on 25, 27 and 29 March, are intended to provide clarity on the financial support measures announced by Rishi Sunak as they evolve, with a specific focus on the immediate action operators need to take to retain and reimburse staff.
“One important point to note is that you cannot claim furlough for existing employees until you have designated them as furloughed, so that needs to be done now.”
“However, you can bring back employees you made redundant during March and claim their wages backdated to 1 March.”
Operators seeking more information are encouraged to get in touch with Hough and Bollard.
