A wave of amusement sites throughout the country have shown their support for NHS workers in recent days.
Among those was Clacton Pier which turned its outside lighting white and blue, as well as displaying a message of gratitude to those on the frontline of the health service at this trying time.
The pier’s communication manager Nigel Brown commented: “It was fantastic to see the words and gestures of support for these workers… but we can do more to help them.”
“It is all about staying at home in line with the Government’s instructions and that will definitely ease the increasing load that has been placed on the NHS due to Coronavirus.”
Gulliver’s Kingdom in Derbyshire followed suit, lighting up blue to show their solidarity with NHS workers.
“We want to say thank you to all the individuals working tirelessly every single day throughout the NHS,” operators commented.
Clarence Pier was another amusement locale that joined the nationwide celebration of health service professionals, with staff joining in the minutes applause, and encouraging messages being posted across social channels.
