Parkdean Resorts has announced its Southview Holiday Park is to receive a £550,000 investment in upgraded facilities, including an extension to its arcade.
The Skegness site will see its caravan fleet renovated alongside the plans for improving Southview Leisure Centre, part of Parkdean’s £80m nationwide investment scheme. “We’ve made great progress in the last year and our success is down to the passion of our teams in helping to deliver great holiday experiences for our customers,” said CEO Steve Richards.
“We want to build on momentum in 2020, so we’re on the lookout for vibrant people to join our teams at our Lincolnshire parks.”
Southview employs a team of 200 during the season, and is currently engaged in recruitment to build its entertainment and leisure team ahead of the summer months.
Details on the specific additions to the leisure facilities are still undisclosed, with Parkdean merely stating it is looking to “extend and improve” the arcade. As well as the leisure investment, a total of 17 new caravans will be sited at the park, while renovations will also be undertaken at the park’s restaurant and outdoor dining spaces.
The announcement comes as Parkdean also puts £5.8m into piloting four new “parks of the future,” which will include advanced kids’ activity-based entertainment.
