The Ryder Cup of the coin op industry, the annual Games Cup Golf Day, will return on 26-27 April at the Marriott St Pierre Hotel and Country Club in Chepstow.
The historic coming together of the UK coin op industry has been a veritable institution since its formations back in the 1990s.
The well-regarded, and fiercely-contested event will see operators tee off against manufacturers in the name of charity, with last year’s event seeing 44 industry members come together to raise more than £2,500 for Jamie Proctor’s Foundation.
As well as allowing for some hopefully-friendly banter between participants the two day competition provides an excellent platform to meet friends and colleagues within the industry and catch up over a few drinks in an informal environment, making it a stand out event on the calendar.
2019 saw the operators take the coveted Games Cup – as well as all the bragging rights – and team captain Jamie Crole will be hoping for a repeat this time out.
The Games Cup 2020 will commence at 10:30 on Sunday 26 April with a short welcome event before the teams head off for their first 18 holes. Having made their way round the picturesque course, attendees will be reconvene for a three course dinner and drinks.
Returning to the fairway on Monday 27, participants of the Games Cup 2020 will embark on another 18 holes before heading off in the early afternoon.
Those wishing to partake in the event can reserve their spot now through Mike Clokie, managing director of e-Service.
