Fantasy Island has announced the addition of a new ride for summer 2020, set to be unveiled in celebration of the Ingoldmells park’s 25th anniversary.
The 25m pendulum ride, named Turbulence, will be unveiled at the site on 28 March, seven days after Fantasy Island officially reopens for the year.
“Our aim as owners is to continually improve our customer offering and revitalise Fantasy Island, putting Ingoldmells firmly back on the map,” said Mellors Group director James Mellors. “We endeavour to be the number one holiday destination on the East Coast.”
The Mellors Group acquired Fantasy Island in 2016, and have since introduced a range of new attractions from children’s rides to coasters, as well as updating the all-weather indoor FEC and adding new accommodation options.
Though regular visitors were disappointed to see the departure of the popular Beast ride last year, Fantasy Island finance director Claire Draper hailed the new ride as a step forward for the park.
”For months we have received messages asking when The Beast will be returning, but we don’t want to move backwards, we want to move forwards and provide brand new experiences for our customers.”
“We believe our fans will be thrilled with the introduction of Turbulence.”
