EAG provided clear signals that operators are looking to invest for the future, according to the feedback received by GeWeTe’s Sales Manager for UK and Ireland, Mark Edmundson
Talking with Coinslot as GeWeTe prepared for the international challenges presented by the ICE show, Mark Edmundson was enthused by the challenges of a demanding opening six weeks to 2020.
He explained: “A lot of exhibitors will judge a show exclusively on the orders they’ve taken which is understandable, but I think there’’s more to the show experience than simply taking a snap shot of the business.”
“In terms of underlying trends there was a confidence in the market and with confidence comes a willingness to invest in the future with the best possible equipment.
“I have to say that it was a very positive three days. The fact that operators are looking to invest is great news for the industry as a whole and I’m delighted that they see the GeWeTe and our vast product range, as a part of that investment strategy. More specifically we had very positive comments about our range of machines and received a great response to the Cash Center Deluxe that we launched at the show.”
He continued: “In terms of product trends there’s no doubt that TITO is gaining more momentum. The overwhelming majority of the operators we saw are looking seriously at adding ticketing and data capture to their venues.
Our Cash Recycler with it’s multi functional options and MARS our TITO and data capture system generated a lot of interest, particularly in light of the fact we can offer a complete solution. The news regarding the use of credit cards for gaming which was announced during EAG served as a wake up call and highlighted the importance of operating within the regulations, particularly in relation to the use of credit cards.”
