Bacta’s Robert Gibb is looking forward to putting the Game Payment cashless app on to the world stage at ICE London.

“We are going to ICE in confident mood and keen to explore the opportunities to introduce the Game Payment cashless payments App to international markets. EAG provided us with a platform to engage with the domestic industry – which we did successfully – at ICE the stage expands dramatically and becomes global. The big development post EAG relates to our success in securing our card processing services with one of the top three UK acquirers. It has been a long, detailed process during which we have addressed a host of questions in order to satisfy what are very stringent protocols. To have done so and to have secured an agreement with a tier one nationally recognised brand is a powerful endorsement of what we are bringing to market. ICE has a reputation for being the most international event of its kind found anywhere in the world, as well as one of, if not the biggest, occupying over 90 percent of the available floor space at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre.

“When we embarked on the Game Payment journey last summer, our aims were two fold. Firstly, to provide a bacta owned cashless payments solution that would meet the needs of the membership and the industry at large. Our second aim was to explore the commercial potential of marketing the App, not just in the UK but overseas as well, in order to produce a recurring revenue stream to help finance the work that bacta undertakes currently and will need to undertake in the future to represent the interests of the industry.

We have already had unsolicited interest from international organisations and ICE will be the first occasion that we actively market the Game Payment solution to a non-UK audience. “We will be part of the Reflex Gaming stand and it will be great to meet with Coinslot readers over the three days at ICE London.”
