As cashless payments increasingly grow in popularity, Mirage family entertainment centre in Mablethorpe has embraced the change, launching a brand new Play and Save card for 2020.
The Mirage family entertainment complex has announced a complete overhaul of its redemption and video payment systems, unveiling the new Play and Save card for 2020.
The Mablethorpe FEC – which offers an arcade, full size bowling, soft play area, bar and cafe – will launch the card this month, after reconfiguring its existing machines.
“What we will do is deactivate all the coin entries on these machines so you can only play them via our Play and Save card,” said the venue via social media. “You will need a Play and Save card to be able to play our video game and ticket redemption machines.”
“We are doing this as it will allow us to use our very powerful system to offer our customers an unrivalled visitor experience, promotions, flexibility and value.”
Players will no longer need to collect tickets from redemption machines, with the ticket figure being automatically added to their account, cutting ticket eater wait time and ticket stock issues.
The system will also switch from pounds and pence to token based play.
“We will be offering you extra bonus tokens depending on how many tokens you buy that will be able to be used on all ticket redemption and video games.”
“Not just video games but all games including ticket machines. That means you will be getting better value than ever.”
Newly purchased cards will carry 100 tokens, with cardholders eligible for special discounts at the arcade and in the adjoining cafe, with staff stating the venue will offer “many more promos in the future.”
“The customer experience will be unrivalled as you be able to use your card from start to finish of your visit whether it be using your card to get 2ps if you want to play our coin pushers to buying yourself one of our great burgers in the cafe or maybe even a pint of beer.” “No more fumbling around for change in your pockets.
No more messing around trying to find an ATM with money in as you can use your debit or credit card to put funds on your Play and Save card directly.”
