Bandai Namco Amusement Europe will be looking to get players in a wheelspin this EAG, with two new titles designed to put players back in the driving seat.
Bandai Namco Amusement Europe will be cranking up the throttle at EAG 2020, with two new competitive racing games, alongside a reconfigured, high-energy ball scoring cabinet. Nitro Trucks, Hot Wheels: King of the Road and Ball Madness will all feature on the distributor’s stand this year, in response to undimmed player demand for driving titles.
“BNAE has a range of games are known the world over, but the machines that prove popular time and time again are the ones that put players in the driving seat,” said a statement from the company.
“One new BNAE racing offering at EAG is the new racing title Nitro Trucks from Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix. Revealed at this year’s IAAPA, Nitro Trucks is a one-of-a-kind off-road racing experience that lets players take control of a souped-up truck.”
The title is available in four and six-player versions, with a choice of 14 racing trucks on six high-octane tracks, allowing players to “smash, jump and boost their way around the world.”
Winning races and earning extra credit gives players access to truck upgrades, as well as Nitro Boosts, and for more handson players, there’s also the RAM function to knock other trucks out of the way.
The Nitro Truck cabinet also puts players in the heart of the action with a driver’s seat, roll cage, dynamic lighting, force feedback steering wheel and 5.1 surround-sound. BNAE will also be showing Hot Wheels: King of the Road, from Adrenaline Amusements, which features six iconic cars on three action-packed tracks.
With up to six people able to play at once, this game will have players facing off against each other to win – with more players, bringing more tickets.
The races each last 60 seconds, with the short races intended to create high-intensity game play and a more engaging experience for players. “The bold graphics make this cabinet stand out in any arcade, and the globally recognised Hot Wheels brand will no doubt draw players of all ages,” said BNAE.
“Add this to the real-world competitive element that multiple players on one machine brings, and you’ve got a recipe for a world-class game!” Alongside the two racing titles, BNAE will show a new two-player version of Ball Madness from TKM Animation Technology, featuring a larger, more eye-catching cabinet, which allows parents to play against their children.
The aim of the game is two catch the balls falling from the roof of the cabinet and place them in the goal area, with the more balls caught, the higher the score, and the more tickets awarded.
