Cleveland Police arrest Arcadia Leisure raiders

Cleveland Police have confirmed that two men were arrested on 14 August following an attempted burglary at Arcadia Leisure, in Redcar.


Officers were alerted to the robbery at the amusement arcade on the town’s Esplanade at 2am in the morning, apprehending the pair after they were caught on street surveillance.

“Two males were spotted by CCTV on Clarendon Street and were arrested,” stated the report from Cleveland Police posted eight hours after the incident.

“The males, aged 26 and 36, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and remain in police custody at this time.”

The police stated that though nothing had been stolen, damage had been caused to the property.

The police statement urged anyone with information to contact Detective Constable Lewis Mackfall from Redcar CID on the non-emergency number 101.
