The Weston-super-Mare Grand Pier will be hosting three murder mystery evenings throughout the remainder of the year, highlighting the site’s dedication to providing an exciting, varied events schedule.
The Country House Murder Mysteries team will first be taking to the seafront attraction on Friday 26 April with “Murder Ahoy” for which parts of the pier will be transformed into a 1950s luxury liner.
Hosted by Miss Mapletree the night is billed as “nautical but nice” and will allow the ticket-holding amateur sleuths to mingle with the suspects before sitting down to a three course meal.
Later on in the year the team will return to the pier to host a wedding-themed mystery evening on 12 July and a school reunion-themed event on 8 November.
Customer (and amateur crime-fighter) Kelsey Dehaney said: “I have been to three or four of the murder mystery events on the Grand Pier and I have thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. “Miss Mapletree is hilarious, the characters are brilliant, the story lines are fun and the food is delicious.
“There is a great atmosphere on the night and I would certainly encourage everyone to go to one of these fantastic events.” Hollie Otley, Event Manager at the Grand Pier, said: “The murder mystery evenings are always popular, offering the ultimate in audience participation where people don’t just come to watch a show but get fully involved and, hopefully, solve the crimes.”
