Scott Turner and Jenny Maloney, of Cain’s Amusements in Kent, have surpassed all expectations and raised more than £6,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society – done so in the memory of Bill Cain Senior.

The pair ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 28 March as the pinnacle of a fitness journey that has seen them lose more than nine stone between them.
The amount of money raised by the two was far and above what they initially set out to accrue and included a £250 donation from trade body Bacta before everything raised was doubled by Cain’s Amusements.
“So, a massive thank you to all the family, and friends for the support, encouragement and donations. To Jenny for being a good pal,a hero and trooper all rolled into one and to Nikki Turner and Pete Maloney for putting up with our shenanigans on a day by day basis.A special mention to Gerald McCarthy for fielding all the ‘is Scott ill’ messages over the last year and a half,” said Turner.
