Worthing is to get a new amusement arcade after plans to build a new leisure development on its seafront were given the green light.

The plans, which also include a new bar and restaurant, were submitted by operator Connaught Leisure and approved by Adur & Worthing councils last week, subject to a number of conditions.
Under the plans, the cur- rent arcade in the ground floor of 34 Marine Parade would be moved out to make way for the bar and restaurant.
It would be relocated to adjacent properties, currently a Thai restaurant and retail unit, which would be combined to make space for a new arcade on the ground floor.
The upper floors of these two properties, previously used as offices and a snooker club, would be converted to create flats for residential use.
