A Southampton AGC has been given a fresh lease on life via the medium of a £300,000 face-lift.
Praesepe’s Cashino branch on Southampton’s Above Bar street hosted a big-budget, Egyptian- themed re-opening ceremony recently: in honour of the brand’s popular Eye of Horus slots game. The party saw the operator put on live entertainment for punters, give away hundreds of goodie bags, and hand out over £4,000 in cash prizes.
“One of the main attractions of Cashino is the social side of gaming it provides to our customers, and the key aim of the refurbishment was very much to enhance this social aspect,” said branch manager Agata Sajdlowska. “With that aim in mind, we’ve added a serviced bar area – serving bean- to-cup coffee machines and
soft drinks with a host of hot and cold snacks. We’ve also added brand new screens, new gaming machines and improved the décor throughout, all of which gives the venue a real modern casino feel.”
Cashino Southampton represents one of a first contingent of eight Cashino sites to be renovated,as part of a wider effort to update all of the brand’s 168 venues across the country. As a subsidiary of the Gauselmann-group, Praespe haven’t cut any corners in this first wave of refits: splashing over £3.5m on branches predominantly in the south of England.
The effort was evidently appreciated in Southampton, where Sajdlowska reported “the feedback was tremendous…they loved the look and feel of the new Cashino, and really enjoyed the new social areas.”
