Semnox Solutions has announced the recertification of its Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS) from the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council.
The certification, which aims to provide a definitive data standard for payment application software vendors, is a key part of Semnox’s efforts to safeguard sensitive client information.
“As we continue to innovate on product, we consider security control to be key catalyst in ensuring a compliant and safe environment,” said VP of development Mathew Ninan.
“PA-DSS v3.2 certification further validates our commitment to provide innovative functionalities in compliant environment.”
PA-DSS is designed to prevent developed payment applications for third parties from storing prohibited secure data including magnetic stripe, CVV2, and PIN.
The standard also mandates that software vendors develop payment applications compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).
Through restricting personnel accessing sensitive data, providing multiple layers of defence and a secure data protection model, and implementing strong access control measures, Semnox has retained its certification.
The firm also holds the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements 18 certification, also known as SOC 1 Type 2 compliance, targeted at organisations maintaining due diligence in financial reporting, IT, development, hiring, support, disaster recovery, and backup process.
