Beacon Bingo paid tribute to one of its most loyal customers, marking the 101st birthday of Cricklewood hall stalwart Mary Van-Gelder with a special party.
Staff at Beacon Bingo, Cricklewood, wanted to make the 101st birthday of one of its most loyal customers, Mary Van-Gelder, extra special so they threw her a party at the bingo hall she visits every single week.
The Beacon team arranged a bouquet of flowers and a surprise party with Mary’s friends, ensuring it was a day to remember.
Commenting on the surprise, Mary said: “It was so wonderful that Steve and the rest of the staff put so much working into helping me celebrate my birthday. I’ve so many friends here at the bingo hall, both other players and staff, and I cannot thank them all enough for making my birthday evening so special.”

Steve Lightfoot, Cricklewood Beacon Bingo’s manager, said: “Last year we threw Mary’s 100th birthday party. This year, knowing it was her 101st birthday we just had to get something put together to help her celebrate it! It was a brilliant night and Mary was smiling the whole way through.

So many of our customers are great friends and our staff are proud to call a lot of our regular customers friends as well.
