Instance Automatics secures UK and Irish market for US “after you eat treat”

Instance Automatics has secured the exclusive rights to market US confectionary product Zollipops in the UK and Irish leisure, amusement and fairground market.

The sugar-free, nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan and kosher compliant lollipop will be made available by the amusement arcade supplier as a healthier alternative to sugar-rich sweets.

“Many of the companies we deal with are looking for a sugar-free option and this is why this new product really appealed to us,” said Instance managing director Ian Eason.

“We are currently developing machines and ideas to market this into the amusement sector.”

The lollipops, made with Xylitol, Erythritol, Stevia, follow a growing trend for calorie-consciousness in products and marketing targeted toward children.

In the wake of the UK government’s recent ruling to increase the tax on high-sugar soft drinks, the confectionery market is expected to reduce overall sugar content.

The exchequer secretary to the Treasury Robert Jenrick stated in April that the government’s aim is for manufacturers to “reformulate” product ingredients.

Sweet manufacturers who do not alter recipes, however, could well seek to increase wholesale prices to cover the proposed increase in taxes on all sugary goods.

By securing the UK and Ireland market launch for the natural plant based Zollipops, Instance are set to provide operators with a viable alternative to the rising cost of confectionary.

“There are exciting times ahead for us with Zollipops,” added Eason.

The lollipops will be made available in counter- top POS and retail packs as well as bulk boxes of loose lollies.
